Description: The Lights Motors Action Extreme Stunt Show, located at the end of the Avenues of America, is a copy of the attraction that originated at Disneyland Paris. Guests are introduced to the director and the director's staff and told that they'll be filming scenes for a film about a spy who is trying to make his getaway and now they'll be filming the stunts that need to be performed. The stunts are executed and then explained in-depth how they were achieved. The action takes place in a "Southern France" setting and as the stunts get more extreme, they add more variety to the set. A large monitor in the middle of the set keeps guests entertained before the show and explains the stunts during the show.
Comments: This brand new show is being advertised everywhere in Walt Disney World so the hype is there. This isn't just "another stunt show" and is pretty interesting to watch. Located at the end of New York Street, the theater is huge (5000 person capacity) but can fill up pretty quickly during the busier times of the year. There are 3 shows per day, all in the afternoon.
The show is set up similiar to the Indiana Jones show, in that there's a stunt, delay while setting up next stunt, stunt, delay, stunt, delay, stunt, however they do manage to keep your interest during the delays with in-depth reviews of the previous stunt with the aid of the huge monitor located in the middle of the set. The stunts are well executed and there really is a sense of danger, even though these stunts are highly choreographed manuevers.
The knock against the show is that it's too unevenly paced. First time viewers will not agree with that assesment but as you go back to see it again, you may find yourself complaining about that as you want to see the stunts. The actual stunts are a little far and in-between, with most of the action being cars driving around (albeit very close to each other and not always forward). Nonetheless, this is a must-see attraction that out does the Indiana Jones stunt show.
