A “World” of Opportunities

When someone asks me advice about experiencing Walt Disney World for the first or second time I typically tell them it’s more than a collection of theme parks and ride attractions.  In fact, you’ll have a much more enjoyable time on your family vacation if you mix together theme park attractions with the many non-attraction based experiences around Disney property.

Over the years, the number of family experiences and activities outside of the theme parks has noticeably increased.  Spending your vacation time waiting in line for Dumbo, Space Mountain, or even Toy Story Mania is quickly becoming untraditional.  Today, families have the opportunity to experience so much more around Walt Disney World without waiting in line for an attraction, or dodging crowds inside a show venue than ever before.

Since our first visit almost 20 years ago, my family has been lucky enough to experience several of these activities.  This blog will share with you information about these experiences and activities inside the theme parks, inside the numerous resort hotels, and everywhere in between.

Even after several visits we still have not experienced everything Disney World has to offer.  Some of my future blogs will focus on activities we’ve already experienced, while others will examine future activities soon afterwards.  My hope is you and your family will gain a better understanding of the many opportunities you can enjoy around the Disney World resort.  Also, you can pick and choose which activities and experiences suit your individual or family tastes and interests best.

One of the attributes that makes Disney World enjoyable is the wide variety of entertainment choices you can choose from each vacation day.  If you are looking to break the monotony of continually jumping in theme park attraction lines, than look no further than your resort activities guide, theme park schedules, or unofficial websites to find other enjoyable experiences around the Disney World property.  I’m looking forward to sharing them with you.
