Electric Mayhem display

Back in April, Disney quietly added a set of scale Muppets from the Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem band to the Stage One Company Store.

It's a neat addition to the shop but it appears to be more than just another display piece.  In fact, it's a relic from an extinct attraction in Disney's Hollywood Studios.

The band is actually from the attraction, "Here Come the Muppets" that ran in the Disney-MGM Studios from May 25, 1990 through September 2 1991.  The show, which featured "walk around Muppets", was shown in the same theater that Voyage of the Little Mermaid is performed in now (Check out the connection these two attractions share).

As you can see, the Electric Mayhem display we see today is identical to the one from the Here Come the Muppets attraction.  It's great to see a little bit of Studios history being resurrected in the park today.

Thanks to darthstitch for alerting us to the connection.
