A Tale of Two Cupcakes

On all my trips to the Studios I like to make a stop at the Starring Rolls Bakery. As you may know they have a variety of baked goods but my all time favorites are the cupcakes. Recently they have added the Red Velvet Cheesecake cupcake to the menu ($3.99). This threw me for a loop since I normally get the Butterfinger cupcake ($3.99).

It is a colossal chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting in the center, with a layer of chocolate ganache, with buttercream frosting and butterfinger bars crushed over the top. It is really rich but so delicious. You may want to share it with someone if you aren’t too into sweets. It can be a bit over powering if you don’t love frosting.

As I stared at the glass pondering which one to purchase I ended up getting both. Yes, I know with all of that sugar and frosting, what was a girl to do? Well this red velvet cupcake had a twist to it. Cheesecake! There is a small spoonful of cheesecake in the middle of the creamy frosting. It has a drizzle of chocolate and then sprinkled in toffee candy pieces like heath bar on the outside.

The cake inside was decadent and went well with the buttery frosting. I was in heaven with all of these cupcake goodies. Plus, if you are on the Disney Dining Plan you could use one of your snack credits to purchase either one of these treats. So, if you are in the Studios and you are looking for a little sweet to kick off your day or wind down your night Starring Rolls Bakery has some of the best cupcakes to offer. If you don’t feel like eating them in the parks you can always get them to go and take them back to resort to enjoy later on.
