Free Dining Is Here Again

Disney is now offering a free dining plan for fall. So what does this mean for everyone planning a trip during this time frame? It means that restaurants are about to really book up. If you didn’t know already it is really important to book your advanced dining reservations 180 days in advanced when your booking window opens. Especially when free dining is being offered during your vacation.

Disney Dining definitely brings large crowds to the parks and restaurants. It will be very difficult to get reservations between 5 and 6 pm which tends to be peak times to dine. I have found that free dining has kind of hurt some of my dining experiences at Disney. Not only have food prices gone up but you are getting the same amount of food for more money. You need to book a table service for each night of the vacation to get the most out of the dining plan which will mean less time not seeing attractions in the parks. For some people like me do enjoy the break for dinner but if time is crunched for you then maybe having a table service dinner every night is not the way to go.

I know most people like having the free dining plan but a room only discount is a better deal. With free dining you are paying rack rates on the room which is the full amount they can charge for that room for the time you are there. If you are a Florida resident or an annual passholder Tables in Wonderland is a wonderful way to save a lot of money on dining.
