Studios Dream Job

Sunday, April 10, 2011

So every so often I get asked that famous question, what would you want to do if you worked at Walt Disney World? I get that question asked a lot but I never remember what I've said time and time again the previous time I've answered it. That is because there are so many options of places to work in Walt Disney World.

So today, I gave it some big thought and i came up with one of the top possibilities of where I'd like to work. Simply because, this place encompasses a lot of what I do during my current everyday life: I want to act.

Now I know what you're thinking: ALL the jobs are Cast Member positions, EVERYONE is a Cast Member! So let me break it down for you.

Last June, Jess and I went on an amazing trip to Walt Disney World and had the pleasure of meeting many people from the Disney Online Community.

One of those people was Ashlie - who had recently become a Cast Member in The Great Movie Ride. Jess and i toughed out a long wait for The Great Movie Ride in order to land in Ashlie's trip through Hollywood. Once her ride vehicle came up, we hopped in the front row with Ashlie's mom who was also at the Studios.

As we made our way around the attraction, I could tell how much fun she was having, interacting with the 'gangster' that takes over the ride vehicle. That is what I'd wanna do! I've played the villain so many times on stage that I think it would be an outstanding experience. Plus, stage, movies, its all in the Great Movie Ride.

Now I doubt I'll ever work for Disney. I'd much prefer to have it simply as a vacation destination. But now you have it on record, that I'd love to be the one to steal your ride vehicle in The Great Movie Ride should I get any job I want at Walt Disney World.

Of course, my opinion may change by tomorrow, too.
