The perfect parade

Saturday, February 05, 2011

So there has been a lot of criticism over the new Pixar Pals presentation/parade at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Allow me to shed some light on what I think should be in the perfect parade at the studios - not necessarily just Pixar!

As opposed to a regular column, here come to list of floats I'd like to see...in order from first to last, of course!

LEAD FLOAT:
Studios family of the day. Mickey is #1! Sorcerer Mickey is on a giant drawing desk with the Fantasia Brooms behind him.

SECOND FLOAT:
Streetmosphere characters in all their glory! Interacting with onlookers throughout the parade.

THIRD FLOAT:
Pixar. Mike, Sully, Incredibles, Toy Story....most of the characters can be on the float, with the classic toy soldiers walking!

FOURTH FLOAT:
Great Movie Ride. Dorothy, Wicked Witch (separated of course!), Indiana Jones, float can resemble Casablanca plane. Many more from inside the TGMR.

FIFTH FLOAT:
Tower of Terror. Float looks like a check-in desk, Bellhops wave guests to book a stay with them. Imagine the Twilight Zone theme playing here, too. And the float turns from full color to stars/lights, like you're in the attraction (have I mentioned yet, this is a NIGHT TIME parade?!)

SIXTH FLOAT:
Classic Disney animated characters. From Oswald, to Minnie, to Horace and Goofy, they're all here - in black and white costumes!

TAIL OF THE FLOAT:
Luxo Jr. Thats right. Luxo Jr. shines his light on to you as the parade ends, leaving you filled with magical memories that continue as you head back to your Disney resort, or for another jaunt around the Studios!

What do YOU think?
