Hello Studios Central readers! This is Cory from Disney Photography Blog and I'm excited to be giving my first post here in The Darkroom! For today's post, I wanted to do a comparison of the old and new Star Tours queues! Check out these two pretty similar shots:

I think it is incredible how much stayed the same, yet how so much is different at the same time. The queue still winds in the same directions, the Starspeeder is still there with R2-D2 and C3PO, it still feels like the original classic Star Tours queue. But there are some serious changes. The lighting in the building is completely different. The Starspeeder is obviously the newer (or older, going by the story) model. And, if you look closely at the old photo, you can see a very "movie set" feel. It seems that Disney has decided to abandon that behind the scenes feel here for a more enveloping story feel, which I think is a big upgrade. The next time you are at DHS and you ride Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, make sure to look for some of these changes! Also, if you are interested in the technical side of things, check out our article at Disney Photography Blog! Thanks for reading!
