Blue

In this week’s column, we set a theme of "blue", so whatever that theme means to you in connection with Disney’s Hollywood Studios is what we went with.  If you would like your photo included in this column, send it to us.  To start things off this week, we’ll go blue with the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights and this photo that certainly is very blue.

"Osborne Lights" by Disneylori

It’s hard not to see why this photo fits the theme of "blue" and it’s a fantastic shot of the restrooms near Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show and has a rich deep blue color in the center, outlined by a lighter blue border.  Not only does it fit the theme, it’s also worthy of being my desktop wallpaper.

If you’ve spent some time on Hollywood Boulevard, you may recognize this person and it’s no secret as to why this week’s theme of "blue" fits right in with her.

"Tallullah Fruiti" by ALL EAR

This is of course the (in)famous Tallulah Fruiti, star of the silver screen who is best known for her "legendary hips, lips and sticks".  Ms. Fruiti is well known for wearing as much blue as humanly possible and my wife often refers to her as "that blue lady".  Without a doubt, she is indicative of this week’s theme, even if this particular photo is less than flattering.

Lastly, it’s hard to think blue and not look at a very new attraction at Hollywood Studios.  One that was mostly green, but now sports a few different shades of blue.

The American Idol Experience is housed in the Superstar Television Theater, which was home to a couple different attractions but before American Idol Experience could open up, Disney painted the building over in a few shades of blue that changed the look of the entire area and used just about every shade of the color blue one could imagine.  Regardless of your opinion of the attraction itself, the exterior of the building does look rather nice.

Be sure to send us your photos for next week, which will feature the theme of "old".  Any photos you may have from Hollywood Studios that you think fits into the theme of "old" can be sent to us to be featured in this column.
