I'm so excited to finally be able to share the details on a project I've been working on with our friends at TouringPlans.com for many weeks now. Today, we pull back the virtual covers and reveal our latest project: StarTours2Live.com!
What is StarTours2Live.com? It's a joint effort between Studios Central and TouringPlans.com to give you up-to-the-minute information on what's going on at Star Tours. This isn't just another website that posts news everywhere else you see it. Rather, we are going to have someone in front of Star Tours every day leading up to the opening of Star Tours 2 to give you all the information you need to know about it's opening.
Before attractions open at Walt Disney World, there's always a great sense of amibuity concerning...

We're excited it's Friday so to celebrate, we're going to have some fun and see who can guess where in Disney's Hollywood Studios this photo is from.
Think you know where it's from? Put your answer in the comments below and we'll see who really knows their Hollywood Studios.
UPDATE: The answer to this photo is it's a slide from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure. Congratulations to Coahdixon29 for guessing it correctly first!
A seemingly innocous announcement on Twitter today means a lot more than you might think. After today, the temporary Darth Vader meet-n-greet at the entrance to Star Tours will be removed.
The signifigance of this decision that a roadblock is literally removed to Star Tours 2 soft openings (ride previews) to begin. I'm not saying ride previews will begin tomorrow or next week or next month, but with Vader's meet-n-greet firmly blocking the entrance to Star Tours until today, there was little likelihood of a soft opening occuring.
Through some back channels, we've gotten two new names for Star Wars Weekends 2011. Peter Mayhew, the actor behind Chewbacca, and Jeremy Bulloch, the actor behind Boba Fett, have both independently confirmed they will be at the annual event.
Neither Bulloch nor Mayhew have been officially announced by Disney or LucasFilm, but each actor has announced via email that they will indeed be there. Given their collective history of becoming perrenial celebrities to meet, it's a safe bet they are both attending.
Now that St. Patrick's Day is past us and the lingering effects of too much green beer and corned beef have past, it's time to look back at the way Disney decortated Disney's Hollywood Studios for St. Patrick's Day 2011. Friend of Studios Central, Betsy Bates, sent in these photos of the Streets of America decorated for St. Patrick's Day and it's something I had never seen before!
You may have noticed a lot of scaffolding around the Tower of Terror lately and it turns out Disney is repainting the Tower of Terror with a special low volatile organic compound (low VOC) paint, which cuts down on environmental emissions. Standard paint contains volatile organic compounds, which create environmental emissions that can react with other elements to product ozone and cause air pollution. Low VOC paint significantly reduces environmental emissions that can react with other elements to produce ozone and cause air pollution.
We're hearing that on April 6, the maligned Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun! parade will change direction. The parade will instead start near Star Tours, flow past Echo Lake, take a right turn at the Sorcerer's Hat and finish up down Hollywood Boulevard.
Tests have already been conducted and rehearsals are scheduled for the new route. The rumored reasoning behind the change to interefere less with the upcoming mega opening of Star Tours 2, which will be...
