Late last week, Disney's Hollywood Studios Entertainment sent internal notices that it will cancel Pixar Pals Countdown To Fun! & Disney Channel Rocks after April 6.  Today, Disney has shed some light on the decision to cancel both shows.

In an internal memo, Disney offered these answers to if park guests inquire about either attraction's fate.

We're hearing reports that both Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun and Disney Channel Rocks will end on April 6 with no replacements to follow.

From what we understand, the performers in both attractions were notified of the change already by Disney's Hollywood Studios' Entertainment department.

The other rumor we are hearing is that the cancellation of both events is because they're going to work on backstage roads so the floats cannot move around.

If the reports are true, this would mean there will be no afternoon parade in Disney's Hollywood Studios for the foreseeable future.  Pixar Pals Countdown to...

We reported on Twitter yesterday that Journey into Narnia will close September 10 permanantly and from what we can gather, this report is still accurate.  

Journey into Narnia has been rumored to close a few times before, but crowd capacity issues have kept it open much longer than anyone ever thought it would.  This walk-through attraction has historically been the home of glorified feature film previews that help generate hype for an upcoming Disney film release.

No word yet on what will replace Journey into Narnia once it does close.
