Celebrating Ten Years of Studios Central

Yesterday marked the 10th anniversary of the opening of Studios Central.com.  Back then, it was MGMStudios.Org but the site has grown a lot in these past ten years and it's literally changed my life as a result.

Yesterday marked the 10th anniversary of the opening of Studios Central.com.  Back then, it was MGMStudios.Org but the site has grown a lot in these past ten years and it's literally changed my life as a result.

The first thing I thought of when I reflected on ten years was all the people that helped this site (and me) along the way.  There are too many to list and frankly, I'd be worried that I'd miss someone, but I want to thank everyone that contributed to the site in even the seemingly smallest of ways.  From photo updates to rumors to tweets/text messages that something on the site is broken, I've recieved an incredible amount of support from other Studios fans and it's meant the world to me.

I also want to thank the people that simply read this site every day.  The wonderful feedback I've recieved from readers on the site or on the message boards or across our social media platforms has been tremendous and it's really what has kept me motivated to keep this site going year after year.  If you ask anyone that runs a web site, they'll tell you there are plenty of days where you have no desire to do anything and just feel like shutting it all down and forgetting about things.  But comments on articles, friendly emails and encouraging tweets all go a long way to help keep this site going.  Thank you for your encouragement.

I'd also be remiss if I didn't thank the staff of Studios Central, who recieve absolutely nothing for their contributions (although I have promised to double and triple that pay rate many times).  Over the years our staff has changed but their help and insight as really made this a better site overall.   I think our readers enjoy reading different perspectives on Disney's Hollywood Studios and Walt Disney World in general.

There's no question that ten years is an important milestone in any web site's life.  A lot has happened in those ten years and it's been a really fun run.  I couldn't have predicted two percent of what happened over these years and I've enjoyed it all.

I'm looking forward to continuing to grow this site while maintaining its focus of celebrating everything Disney's Hollywood Studios.  There's so much more I think we can do and I'm hoping the next ten years will be even more enjoyable and prosperous than these last ten.  Once again, thank you for helping make Studios Central the success it is today.  I continue to be amazed by how supportive everyone has been.

Cheers!
