Crowds at Hollywood Studios bigger than expected

It's no secret that the second half of December is a very busy month at Hollywood Studios, with Christmas and New Years crowds flocking to Walt Disney World for annual vacations.  But the 2011 Christmas season is off to an even busier start than anyone at Disney could have anticipated.

It's no secret that the second half of December is a very busy month at Hollywood Studios, with Christmas and New Years crowds flocking to Walt Disney World for annual vacations.  But the 2011 Christmas season is off to an even busier start than anyone at Disney could have anticipated.

Crowds have been so big at Disney's Hollywood Studios that we're hearing reports that the predictions Hollywood Studios management have been off by as many as 10,000.  This has already lead Disney to add an extra hour to the park hours on Monday and Tuesday and we're now hearing that all attractions Cast Member schedules have been changed for the next two weeks, where Disney's Hollywood Studios will have unannounced rope drop a half hour early every morning.

Mangement at the Studios has already been busy trying to cope with the larger crowds by announcing special limited time events such as the Comedy Warehouse shows in Sounds Dangerous, new food kiosks around the park and showing Disney animated shorts in the Premier Theater.  All of these ideas are aimed at helping to spread the crowds out through the park but with these new figures coming in, perhaps there's more that's still needed.
