As you know, each week on Studios Central we publish a weekly photo update that shows you what's new and happening in Disney's Hollywood Studios. While photos can tell you a lot about what's going on in the park, it can't tell the whole story and often during these updates I notice something that can't be captured in a photograph so we're going to start blogging about our report from the week.
These weekly reports will run at the same time the photo updates are published and will be quick notes to pass along to you. They may not be earth moving, amazing details, but these in-park anecdotes will serve to compliment the photo update many of you have come to enjoy looking at each week.
Here's this week's report from this week's photos
- Not sure why, but the Christmas overlay at Hollywood Studios is still very much in place. Aside from the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, none of the Christmas decorations have been removed. In fact, the Christmas music is still being played throughout the park. I seem to recall things disappearing a whole lot faster, and certainly the park music returning. My (baseless) theory is they wanted to wait for the marathon races this weekend and after Sunday, it will all start coming down.
- Lots of Brazillian tour groups in Hollywood Studios today. Winter here is their summer vacation, so it's appropriate for them to be in full force, followed by the cheerleaders next month and then more Brazillians again after that.
- Still no work outside of Star Tours can be seen. We hear lots of work has been going on inside the building but the exterior remains largely untouched.
- The work on the Tower of Terror facade continues and there are two cranes visible now. Don't worry, it's just exterior facade work to help make the building look ironically decrepid.
