New Italian food kiosk debuts on Backlot

A new fod kiosk has been added to the Backlot area of the park, near the exit to Muppetvision 3D.  The food kiosk serves Italian food that is cooked at Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano nearby and offers a few basic options for those looking for a quick meal.

Called "Ristorante Italiano", the kiosk appears to be a former Epcot Food and Wine Festival booth and was added to help deal with the higher crowds anticipated for the busy Christmas and New Years season.  Ristorante Italiano will open for service tomorrow, December 20, 2010 and offers seating on picnic tables nearby.

The menu offers Penne Pasta in a Tomato Sauce with Meatballs for $8.75 or just Penne Pasta in Tomato Sauce (no meatballs) for $6.50.  In addition there's a ministrone soup for $3.00.

Speaking with some Cast Members, this kiosk could stick around longer than after New Years if it proves to be popular enough with crowds and also if it works out in terms of logistics.
