Star Tours: The Adventures Continue is the updated Star Tours ride that builds upon the success of the first film. This new attraction is actually a prequel to the original Star Tours attraction and takes place roughly between the events of Episode 3 and Episode 4.
Star Tours 2 features 54 possible ride sequences, making each ride different than the others. Disney wanted to enhance the re-rideability of Star Tours and you will find that when you board your Starspeeder 1000, you will experience a different adventure nearly each time.
On Star Tours, you are boarding an interstellar transport when your ship, piloted by none other than C-3PO, is stopped by Imperial troops because one of the people on your ship is a rebel spy. Your ship evades capture and is chased across the galaxy until it can succesfully deliver the secret plans to the hidden rebel base.
This Star Tours ride is a fantastic update to a classic Walt Disney World attraction. This new ride features a 3D ride into the Star Wars galaxy that is both thrilling and amazing to view. The enhanced visual displays and great storyline make Star Tours a fun experience for anyone, regardless of how much of a Star Wars you are (or aren't).
Be sure to pay lots of attention to the queue line and boarding process. Disney Imagineers have hidden dozens of easter eggs, gags and subtle nods to many facets of the Star Wars galaxy as well as other LucasFilm properties. Without giving too much away, waiting in line for Star Tours is something you can look forward to thanks to a superb queue experience.
While we weren't bothered by the ride, given the fact that Star Tours is a motion simulator, there is the possibility of motion sickness for some guests. If you are prone to motion sickness, you may want to avoid Star Tours, although I recommend sitting in the rows in the back and starring directly at the screen while avoiding glancing to the sides to minimize the motion sickness possibilty.
To be honest, Star Tours: The Adventures Continue is a really amazing attraction that will make you want to ride again and again to catch all of the details. There's so much in this ride that just one ride wont be enough. Be sure to ride early in the morning to minimize wait times or take advantage of FASTPASS. May the Force be with you!
